Any recommendations?

Are the ebay ones ok?

Thanks

I bought from light rabbit £5 each . Great light and guarantee for 3 yrs.
Before buying check google as I think I had a email the other day for 15% discount code, will try to find it and post it up for you. Depending on where you want to put them in your home, we found the soft light versions the best over the daylight ones. And yes they are a direct replacement for the gu10 bulbs.

We have a lot of inset fittings with GU10 LEDs which we bought from LED hut. In three years, only one has failed. Note that you can get warm white and cool white. The latter is harsher but is OK in bathrooms and possibly kitchens. Elsewhere, choose warm.

Can't comment on the ones you've linked to (customer reviews look good) but I've gradually replaced almost 100 GU10s with the cheap ~£2 ones from both Amazon and ebay (various sellers) and had no failures, some are now around 3 yrs old.

These are low power. Where do you plan to fit them - if in a ceiling they'll be too dull. You'll need at least 400 lumens (probably around 7 watts) to be equivalent to a 50 watt halogen gu10. Don't be tempted by the low price. Also, two years warranty is too short. Three to five is available elsewhere.

Do have a read of that thread posted earlier by Stooby2. It's perfect for those of us starting out.

I tried several and then bought some in Homebase, which are pretty good.

With LEDs, the more Lumens the better.

There was a video on Youtube which opened up some cheap, non-CE type GU10s, after seeing it and how dangerous they were I'd make sure I got some reasonable quality, CE approved units.

LED hut, over 1000 bulbs fitted in last 2 years and no reported failures yet. These are the SMD and COB types
