FULL CAR SERVICE PRICE?? (Without any new parts, and No changes) VS Oil +Filter change
Car Info = Peugeot 406,
Saloon car,
Petrol
Year 2000
Engine Size (CC): 1761
How much would be expected to be paid, for a full car service, which is just the check of the common full service checks/repair elements? in these a) with no changes,
and b) with the changes listed below.
Asking for rough prices that a mechanic would offer, min- max range £ ?
a) Not changing anything, not removing anything, assuming it is fine.
b) The full service price expected to be paid with the following changes:
and, in the price of b) with the changes, Do not include the price of parts included. Just want to know the labor cost associated, with the service
I know these prices would vary for a) and b) but just want some approximates to see what to expect as a min - max range £ ?

- Brake pads changed on front 2 wheels (only new brake pads were inserted/changed, NOT the discs- they were left alone, as they were fine.)

How can anyone answer that without knowing what the 15 checks are?
Different manufacturers have different servicing schedules and different things take different amounts of time to check.
It also depends on the model of the car, changing plugs on something like an MX5 is a simple job but I believe some VWs are a right pain so will cost more.0 -
What sort of vehicle are you talking about? Mini or landrover? Petrol or diesel? I have never had a service where nothing has been done. I always get some of the filters changed.0

Location makes a difference as well. Rent and business rates vary hugely across the country.0

You need to develop a relationship with a mechanic / garage.
If by no parts you mean you supplied everything I am firmly of the view that is a way to royally upset people that you need on side.
I have a friend who takes his own oil, because he uses fancy oil and he doesn't trust the garage to a) use the right kind b) charge him a reasonable price for it. He always lands with extra charges or some unexpected repair needed, because there is a lack of trust.
For older cars I use a small garage near my work. I trust him to tell me the truth and to charge a fair price. He knows I will keep coming back and giving him money as long as that trust remains. I'd never dream of taking my own parts along.
I think I'm in a much better position than my friend.
As said above no-one can answer your question on such selective information. Car size / type / fuel / marque will all affect it, as will the type of garage with franchise / specialist / quick fit / backstreet all varying, probably but not necessarily decreasing in cost in that order.
Minimum -> maximum? Probably £50 to several hundred, possibly even £500 if you have really hit the jackpot. (Labour only)
Finally I see a service as changing consumables and making adjustments. I wouldn't regard something with nothing changed as a service. That's a health check - often with a view to selling you a service / repair work.0 -

can you explain what these 15 service elements are because during a service much more things are checked0 -

Correction, I meant more than 15 elements, but more than 15, for the full service.

This is such a pointless post and question. Get on the phone to a few garages and find out the answers, anything anybody says on here is largely irrelevant (no offence to those posting).0
