Any legal advice please...
Ive recently wrote a thread regarding Talk Talk, charging me 75p p/m for phoning an 0844 number off an insurance company. They state that 0844 should be 35p from my TT mobile!
Ive been in contact on the TT community forum where I have a thread. There advisors on there state the 0844 number I rang is a Personal Numbering Service which the insurance co have set up for your call to be forwarded to probably a mobile but they use an 0844 number to disguise it, and its correct that im charged 75p.
They say its nothing to do with TT as its the ins co who have set up this number and its a standard procedure across all providers.
Can anyone give advice on this situation.
Thanks

If TT clearly say in their tariffs that calls to 0844 numbers cost 35p, then they can't charge more.
All what the adviser said about 'forwarding' to a mobile number was rubbish. You were calling to 0844.
Submit a formal complaint, then take them to the ombudsman if needed.0 -
The advisor is a fool. In the UK, the price you pay is dictated by the number you call.
If the recipient then chooses to forward the call after it's connected, they're the ones making the forwarding call, they're the ones who pay.
Call TT again, ask to speak to a manager.0
