Please do not use baby wipes for cleaning leather - they will damage the finish on the leather. Our technicians visit more problems to fix damage from baby wipes than anything else so we have seen it from firsthand experience.

I always used baby wipes on my suite for 16 years and there was no damage. It was a hide one though, i.e. not smooth and shiny. would that make a difference?
  • Im another fan of disposable wipes sixtiesgal! I use them on the kitchen bin, the loo and for wiping up paw prints etc. If I used a cloth on the bin or loo, Id have to bin it!

I prefer Aldi or Lidl antibacs but I'll use baby wipes if I run out.

I also use the flushable Toilet Duck Fresh Brush on the loo.

I've got two kids under two so nearly every room has a pack of wipes...so I use them because I *thought* I was being lazy...not because it was my chosen way to clean as I figured they are to expensive for that ...saying that the amount of money you spend on the other stuff I suppose it may work out cheaper...?

It makes it sound like I use them for everything I don't really :D
People don't know what they want until you show them.

I confess, I do use baby wipes sometimes. Around the computer, mug stains. Then not as much as my micro-fibre cloth.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

My family laugh at my obsession with Baby Wipes!! I have a packet in every room of the house somewhere and they are GREAT for a quick 30 second clean-up. Ideal for the Loo and hand basin. PERFECT for the kitchen where they leave a lovely shine on the stainless steel stuff.
They smell nice, don't hurt my hands and I like the hygienic "disposability" of them - although not very environmentally friendly I guess...?

I'm another queen of wipes. I get through about 2 packs in a week. I use anti bac wipes though not baby wipes. Ive got a pack in the kitchen, a pack in the bathroom and one upstairs.

  • my hubby is a fan of wipes, it is the only way he'll do dusting, clean bathroom etc.....I do despair about the amount he uses but do occasionally use them for a quick wipe round if needed....

I've a recent convert to Stardrops (thanks to this site) and have a variety of other cleaners to use up....wipes are handy but I wouldn't want the cost of using them all the time...

I buy various cleaning materials to 'encourage' DH to keep doing the cleaning even though I know we could manage most things with Stardrops or similar. A bottle of Cif every few months is far cheaper than employing a cleaner!:rotfl:

I don't use wipes except for a pack in the car for wiping hands in petrol stations and I always take some on sunshine holidays for cleaning hands after suncream etc.

I have kitchen roll for very occasional use but mostly we use dishcloths (5 for £ in Aldi) and put them in with the white wash. Over time they get demoted from kitchen to bathroom to floors to loos to bin.

I keep a packet in my bag for when I'm out. I've been thankful enough times to keep a packet in my bag :D

I don't use them at home though. Just cloths which I bung in the washing machine.
