Do you use baby wipes for cleaning

I've heard a few people say that baby wipes are good for cleaning around the home, does anyone here use them?

I tend to have wipes for different things in my cupboard, wipes for the kitchen, bathroom, furniture, leather wipes, floor wipes. Now I am thinking it may be easier just to have one pack of baby wipes for everything and my Flash cleaner aswell which I also use.

I've never bought a cleaning-wipe in my life and I'm not going to start now.

    All-purpose cleaner (hello Stardrops!)
    Some cream cleaner
    Bleach
    Disinfectant
    Vinegar for lime-scale

    That's it
  • I must be the woman of wipes :)

I do find them easier because it does save on having cloths and dusters. I also don't have a mop bucket so find it easier to push a wipe around with the flat mop.

I do have a microwave cleaner and a mildew and limescale cleaner, does vinegar do the job? Might give it a try.

People use disposable wipes for cleaning on a regular basis? I knew such things existed for cleaning around the house but I thought they would be for emergencies. It seems so wasteful to use them all the time...

I bought a big stack of facecloths online and use those for cleaning around the house. I can apply whatever cleaning fluid is appropriate for the task, and they can be washed and reused hundreds of times. There's always a stack of them in the bathroom visible and ready to be grabbed for wiping down the sink etc., so I tend to be more regular in my cleaning habits as well. That is no bad thing!

Baby wipes, even the cheapest ones, are great for cleaning the dashboard in the car.

I only use them for a quick job such as wiping the cats paw prints off a window sill. I do have antibacterial wipes in house and also use flushable wipes for the loos

Also brilliant for cleaning leather seats - both in cars and in the home.

Please do not use baby wipes for cleaning leather - they will damage the finish on the leather. Our technicians visit more problems to fix damage from baby wipes than anything else so we have seen it from firsthand experience.

I third this :-) Dashboard and all interior plastic trim. Particularly good on grained plastic, which is a nighmare to keep clean. Small children + muddy shoes + grained plasic = headache
