Cat hairs

Hi, I have two lovely black and white cats, they are indoor cats. They moult and lose a lot of fur between them. I can't seem to get rid of the hairs when I am cleaning. They mainly get on my duvet cover, my curtains and my living room chair, my sofa is leather so that is easy to clean.
I use the lint roller for my clothes and that is really good but its too small for a large area like the bed and curtains. I use the tools on my Dyson but that doesn't seem to get rid of them all.
Does anyone have any advice?

Wrap Sellotape sticky side out around your hand and wipe across the duvet ect. Also sounds obvious but the more you can groom them the less lose hair there is to come off over your stuff. I have 3 of the pesky little fur balls and was adamant that they would not be allowed in the bedroom never mind on the bed, guess who woke up with a cat sharing the pillow this morning ?Shady pines ma, shady pines0

Rubber gloves, slightly dampened - rub over the furnishings and the hair rolls up/sticks to the glove0

We gave up on the duvet, which is where most of the hairs seem to congregate. We've got a cheap fleece blanket over the top of the bed which is washed and hung outside a couple of times a week.0

I second the damp rubber gloves - even by wiping cushions with damp hands will get rid of amazing amount of cat hair.0

I've got one of these

But the damp rubber gloves work just as well.
Some people only exist as examples of what to avoid....0 -

Take the hair off the cat before they lay it down! We really notice the difference if it's been a while since we've brushed them, then we find clumps of fur all over the house.0 -

this is absolutely, categorically, totally and completely the MOST effective tool ever for removing large quantities of animal hair from bedding etc.
You sweep it over the surface and it rolls the hair up into a solid piece which is easy to lift and remove.0 -

Thanks for your helpful replies. I will give these ideas a go. I didn't think it was necessary to brush short haired cats though, I used to have persians and they got brushed but I've never brushed short haired cats.
I was thinking of getting a hand held vac to clear up the hairs but I don't want to spend the money if its not going to work any more than my Dyson.0
