Introducing Yourself to New Neighbours
Comments

My current place is the only property I've owned where neighbours have knocked to introduce themselves once I'd moved in. This is a flat & I have to say I have found neighbours much more friendly & welcoming than in any of the houses I've lived in.
When I lived in a house, if ever a new next door neighbour moved in I'd stick a New Home welcome card in the letterbox to introduce myself & tell them to knock if they needed anything or I could help in any way.
I've never personally gone round knocking on doors to introduce myself to my new neighbours whenever I've moved, it's just sort of happened naturally, as in you see a neighbour on your way in or out, say hi & then introduce yourself. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I'd probably offer them a cup of tea or coffee while they're moving in as they'll probably need it! Then just introduce selves etc.
The best way not to go about introducing yourselves is how our next door neighbours did, with dubstep at 2am the first morning accompanied by a hammer drill as they hung up pictures.0 -
Personally, I favour letting nature take its course and making the introductions when a suitable occasion arises. Definitely avoid the hammer drills and make an effort to be friendly if you see the neighbours, but I would say leave it to the people who already live there to make the formal introductions if they want to. I'm pretty reserved about these things, and I think a new neighbour on my doorstep might feel a bit pushy and would put me off! (Yeah, I know, I'm antisocial...but I do get on perfectly well with my neighbours!)0

Id say go round the day after youve moved in, or on that day if youre finished early and introduce yourself.
I saw my neighbours the day i moved in and they were, and have continued to be wonderful. Id never want to move!£2 Savers Club #156!
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j0
