Does a crackly phone line effect Fibre Optic?
Comments
-
If you are going to fibre then you may well get a VDSL faceplate or indeed a new complete master socket, however depending on what sort of modem/router Talk Talk use it could be a self install. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Does the crackling appear to be weather related? e.g. is it more prominent when/after it is raining? Or windy?0
-
Possibly it is worse after it's been raining, but I'm not 100% sure. When I first had the problem several weeks ago, I didn't think to relate it to the weather. Today it's quite windy and as yet no crackling.0

Another factor may be as the temperature drops ... this can cause the wires/cables to contract and so exacerbate any dodgy connections.
It's forecast to cool down over the weekend so keep an eye (ear) out.0
