"eBay skybox F5 (sly box) and save yourself around £950 a year. A years subscription will cost you approximately what you are paying each month to Sky"
I have seen them but I thought they where illegal? All that glitters is not gold.0 -
Everyone can't be on the electoral roll, particularly if you're not a UK citizen....I'm certainly not on the electoral role and have had no problems getting credit in my 15 years living in this country. I currently have the following financial products and have only ever completed the standard credit application with no referral. All straight approvals with the exception of my business bank account:
Amex charge card,
Amex Nectar CC,
Tesco CC,
Capital One Aspire Business CC,
Barclaycard
Barclays Business Current Account and Savings Account and
Intelligent Finance Current Account0 -
If you are a British citizen, and resident here, then being on the electoral roll is not a choice or an option - you must be on it. You do not have to vote, but you must be registered. If you are resident in the UK but not a British citizen then depending on your circumstances you can still register for certain elections (but not general elections) and vote in them0

VespaRick, there was a time when lenders were throwing credit at just about anything with a pulse. Since the recession and the banks bailout they are supposed to lend responsibly, where an electoral roll registration may have been overlooked back then, certainly isn't so much now.0

You can only register on the electoral roll if you are UK are EU citizen or part of the Commonwealth. As a US citizen i do not qualify and can not (until i become a UK citizen) register. I can add a note on my credit file pointing this out, but that is all.
Who Can Register to Vote

Nonsense, you have to be on the electoral roll to vote and it helps for credit reasons but you don't HAVE to be on there. They do state that a fine could be issued if you don't but the huge flaw is how can they fine you if they don't know who you are? Or who lives in the household. Nobody HAS to register.

I'm not on the electoral roll and I've never had problems getting finance or credit lines.
You say you've already had financing through creation so why not apply for one of their credit cards.
Also like another had said why are you spending so much on virgin media??? Also littlewoods is expensive, get a very account. I bought my Samsung Galaxy Mega through them and saved £200 (bought it for £360 after 10% off first order)
plus don't worry about experian and equifax rating you 'yellow' it means naff all!
Also who do you bank with and what kind of standing is your account in?0 -

There is a legal obligation on the householder to register people that live at an address. More specifically the offence is failing to give information as required by a registration officer.

People do get fined, though it's not common.
The government plan to introduce individual registration, ie a system where the obligation is on individuals themselves.0
