  • You could look for foods that have higher than average amounts of fibre, as this makes them feel fuller, but it isn't digested so doesn't add calories. Royal Canin do a dry food called Appetite Control which is meant to help with this.

Try Applaws, we use it and it's filler free.

I take it that he has been wormed recently?
  • He was wormed with drontal about 2 weeks ago. I've got him 2 lots of food from Zoo Plus, The Royal Canin Appetite control and the Portia grain free. He is finishing off the complete light from pets at home first though.
I will get him a treat ball as well.

One of our cats was a real piggy, especially after she way spayed, we tried her on various foods, including the Royal Canin appetite control (which helped a bit) and she is now on James Wellbeloved which she really likes and is like a different cat (was the stereotypical "naughty tortie and is now a really cuddly chilled out cat), her coat looks gorgeous and no more begging for food. We have two cats so usually buy it on offer and rotate through bags of fish, turkey and the house cat one. Girl cat doesn't roam much further than the garden and our other cat enjoys wet food too.
