Arrgh Banks why cant they just be honest!? Thanks to this thread I should start to see some interest now.

I had ticked the paperless statements option but I didn't realise they had added the other option as well..

Still I suppose its only 6-7 quid a month but it all adds up

I've logged on and changed my two and the two joint ones to paperless correspondence. OH logged on to change their two, but on checking the two joint ones when logged to OHs they're still showing as paper correspondence received, even though the boxes are ticked for not receiving paper correspondence and that they're showing as paperless correspondence when logged in under my details. Anyone else experienced this?

You need to go through the full change dialogue. Just ticking the boxes is not enough - you have to click Continue, then tick another box and enter your password on the next screen, and then Confirm. Only when you see a confirmation screen ("we have updated your settings") have you actually updated them.

You'll also both have to do this on joint accounts, because each account holder might opt for different settings. Goodness only knows how this would affect the interest payments.

...and once done, you should receive an email confirming that the account has been successfully updated to Paperless Correspondence.

Got that for Lloyds and HBOS but not for TSB. mind you, haven't yet checked my spam folder.

Yes, but after clicking Continue, the page wouldn't change and a message came up saying you have to select one of the accounts. All of the accounts were already selected for both paperless statements and paperless correspondence and the box above those listed was ticked as well. It didn't matter how many times I clicked continue it wouldn't acknowledge the "change" (theoretically there wasn't a change as they were already ticked, but the wording showed as receiving paper correspondence as it recognised there hadn't been a change on the page, if you see what I mean!). I also tried un-ticking the boxes and ticking again, but it still wouldn't accept it.

I've just updated my TSB account settings to switch to paperless correspondence and immediately received an email confirming my selection for all my accounts. People who haven't received this might want to check in their spam/junk mail boxes.

Did my TSB yesterday and no email to confirm, not in my spam/junk box either.

My email from TSB went into the Spam folder. I have now added donotreply@tsb.co.uk to my contacts and hope they will always use this email address for their communications.

Could be a bit of a problem if TSB correspondence lands in spam folders - don't know about you, but I rarely check my spam folder.

I received emails for my two sole accounts and the two joint accounts and OH received emails for their two sole. The joint accounts remain as showing paper correspondence when they log in, but paper free correspondence when I log in. They'd better pay the interest on the joint accounts, I've done everything I can to try to register for paper free correspondence. Thought their advert on TV says they like to make things simple!
