So we can check that you are receiving all that you are entitled to can you please tell us what benefits you are on?
Housing Benefit?
Council Tax support?
JSA?
Child Tax credits?
Child Benefit?
Have you applied for a budgeting loan or is the one that they say 'they have run out of money?
Are you on the Housing Register for a 2 bed place? Have you tried to do a mutual exchange? There may be someone paying the 'Bedroom Tax' in a 2 bed place that would like a 1 bed place.0 -

That's good to hear, well done on raising her well - have you checked you're receiving all you're entitled to for her care? You might be better off posting in the benefits and tax credits board, but pmlindyloo looks like she's already on the case0 -
tbh i now thinking it was not a good idea making this thread i didn't expect to get jump on right from the start i understand my grammar is very poor yes all benefits are up-to date i just find it wrong that everything i try to get help with i get turned down iv worked all my life i don't drink i don't go out wasting money the only thing i may be guilty of is wasting a little bit on is my hobby during the court proceedings to basically to keep my mind of it ( they use so very nasty tactics) i self taught website design which costs me arrange of £12 a month for the hosting . every site i built /designed i released the templates for free. i just found it wrong that for the first time i ask for help i get turned down
anyhow thx for all your reply's0 -
As you appear not to be a UK citizen, then at a guess I would say that the Jobcentre are giving you as little info regards what benefits you are actually entitled to (standard practice from what a former JC+ advisor told me).
I suggest that you look on 'Entitledto' to see if you can claim any extra benefits.
As for a CSCS card, unless you are already employed in the building industry, you cannot actually apply for one (I know, I tried). However, ask your signing adviser about it and they should put you on a course which will incur no costs to yourself (your training provider will be registered with 'CSCS' as an authourised employer, so no issues with obtaining the card).
Also, you can get a fork lift truck safe operator's certificate (the correct name for a FLT 'licence') for free as well. Even if the JC won't fund it, there are providers who have direct funding from the EU to provide such training for free to those on benefits (I had to go through a self-arranged course for one as my adviser told me there were no funds left).
One piece of advice regarding working in construction. You will need 2 references (trust me, they do check).
Anyway, good luck finding both a new sofa bed and a new job.
Just a thought. You can get what are known as 'camp cots' for around the £10 mark. These are what the military use when in temporary field camps. They come in a bag like a fold-up chair and open up to form a sturdy 6ft x 3ft canvas bed. Might be a cheaper option.Never Knowingly Understood.

If you are in receipt of JSA then you should be eligible for Discretionary Learner Support for the English/literacy course.

I am sure that this would be of enormous benefit.0
