Well in the way it’s a bit of a rant to blow some steam off
But in all fairness I fed up with this gov, councils.
I currently living in a one bed flat with my 16 yr old daughter which is fine my daughter has the bedroom but here the part which is beginning to take toll on my heath I’m having to sleep on a two seated sofa , I find it hard to sleep i currently unemployed which is another story all together i was working for a large very well know company but then our lovely local authority thought it was a good idea to take my X-wife to court for our kids Well as a parent you fight for your kids no matter what we won in the end they had zero case and drop it on the final hearing result was after booking every Holiday and running out of days off I went into unpaid leave ,Well my employer sacked me for this . This makes me sick to the teeth yeah I could take then to court I guess maybe but where the funds come from. so back to my rant I’m unemployed overcrowded iv contacted my local MP, Councillor for help evening funding for a new sofa bed would be nice but got turned down on this too . I've not had it easy but I've never asked for help before worked since I was 16 I’d love to get back to work but that beginning to look bleak ask my local job center to help with costs jib cscs card but would believe it got told no they run out of funding until the next tax year

I did read your post and I know you used your annual leave to attend court but that doesn't mean to say you can then just take more time off work to have a holiday.

I've had to use annual leave for things other than holidays in the past many times, that's just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Maybe your daughter could sleep on the sofa bed? Teenagers can usually sleep just about anywhere!

You could possibly look at retraining - if you post on the http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=141 forums, you should keep help on getting back into the workforce.

Fine then, I'll be nice. Have you tried Freecycle or somewhere like than for a sofabed?

It sounds like you've had a hard time and I feel for you, but I'm not sure that you'll be able to get any constructive advice on a house buying and renting forum. Maybe try "employment, jobseeking and training", "benefits and tax credits" or "debt-free wannabe"?

In Pixie's defence it's quite hard to read since you've not used sentences or paragraphs so it was an easy mistake to make. Did you speak to your employer about what was going on with the courts? Is your daughter living with you full time and is she still in education? Can you sell anything you might own to raise money for the CSCS test?

I don't know what a css card is, but did you ask if they will have new funding available with the new financial year? If so, it is only 3 weeks away. It is quite normal for grants to be unavailable at this time of year because of the way funding works.
