When I submitted my POPLA appeal, I got an email stating they would consider my appeal on 22 April - today.

I have not heard anything from UKPC - should they have copied me in to anything they sent to POPLA (such as information about their non-compliant signage). I did ask in my letter to be copied in so I could challenge any inaccuracies, as there is actually no sign visible at the entrance to the car park.

A common tactic among PPC's lately is to not bother contesting an appeal at POPLA ..... Because they know they cannot win against GPEOL.

Wait a few days, then email POPLA and tell them you have not had the Operator's evidence so you assume you are about to hear from POPLA that you've won.

I emailed them yesterday to say the above. Today, I have received this reply, cut-and-pasted below:

'POPLA have not received evidence from the Operator for this case.
Your case will remain listed for consideration by an Assessor.'

I presume this means that the assessor just has not had time to look at it yet - presumably UKPC will not be permitted to submit evidence after the deadline?

I'll keep you informed of any further communication from POPLA.

As I recall saying on another thread recently, POPLA are far more forgiving of lapses by PPCs than they are by motorists. ;)

I've had the POPLA decision, and my appeal was allowed. UKPC did not respond with any evidence.

I'm just off to find the POPLA decisions thread to paste the full text.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for the advice.

By the way, POPLA are running a week behind the date they gave me for a decision, so maybe they are overwhelmed with appeals.

Ha ha. We remember the days when POPLA were 6 months behind schedule and in danger of getting canned by the BPA. A week is nothing :-)

Let me get this right - I've appealed against UPC to POPLA and won. I should also receive a copy of their "evidence" (exceptionally loose usage of the word)?

If I do ask for their evidence, does this cost UKPC anything?

If you've won and had the written confirmation from POPLA I wouldn't think you're going to get anything more.

On what grounds did you win? If it was because the PPC didn't return any evidence to POPLA, I guess therein lies your answer.
