Exchanging large denominations for smaller ones - Dubai Dirhams

I have some 500 Dirham notes that I would like to change for smaller denominations before I go. Went into Hays who said they can't do it. Any suggestions?

I honestly don't think anyone will before you go, as there's no benefit to them, unless you find a very friendly local currency exchange, preferably not a chain one.

best place would be at the airport , go to a travelex desk and ask , i did once when i had some large Hong Kong Dollars at heathrow

If you live in London any of the BDCs on Edgware Road will do it for free

Some airport BdCs may try to charge you a fee
