My theory today was to get there early and try to test some of the new offers before they reach msm/msl. Thankfully when I got to A there were plenty of A4 bits of paper hanging from aisle ends which looked like they were there to help staff put out the latest offers. I went round with my phone scanning everything that looked like it was in a new offer.
Only problem is, my mayonnaise shop only cost me £6.95 and the apg is for £8.72!!
I think we should do further testing before confirming and therefore I think it would be best if SFSB goes and loiters in the aisles of Mr A and as soon we see something glitch on msm we'll let you know:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Oh, and I forgot to mention..
I scanned a few of these Schwarzkopf hair products and several of them came up as n/a in A. Does this mean that they might be triggers in the 3 for £10?0 -
Snap Snap!
I also got shoes, despite telling myself I didn't need them. But they were in my size so what's a girl to do?! :rotfl:
I'll post a pic shortly
There was also nightwear and bags. And a very nice lady who overheard me and my dad talking about waist size and passed us all the jeans and trousers in his size :T
Shame someone had to pinch the jeans I'd picked up for misery guts out of my trolley though  Ah well, he'll just have to make do with thermal long johns instead :rotfl::rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I've just returned from 10 days away from the Elite and am trying to catch up. Having only just joined the Elite thread 3-4 weeks ago I was surprised how twitchy I got about the bargains and glitches I might be missing while I was unable to take part!
Firstly, Happy Birthday to QoC - hope you have a lovely day :bdaycake:
Secondly, so sorry to hear about the difficulties with your exchange TinyShoes. Many years ago (27 to be precise) we were in a similar situation. It turned out that the person buying from us was actually a property developer (our Estate Agents know this but 'forgot' to tell us). This man told us a number of different [STRIKE]lies [/STRIKE] stories about why each time we were due to exchange there had to be a delay. In fact, he had submitted a planning application to the local authority (to turn our Victorian terraced house into 2 flats) and was waiting for the go ahead before he would exchange. Our Estate Agents knew all about this but once again they 'forgot' to tell us and passed on his [STRIKE]lies[/STRIKE] stories instead. At the time, we had no idea that anyone can submit a planning application on a property - you do not have to own the property yourself to do this!
We were desperate to move quickly as dh had just started a job 80+ miles away and I was pregnant (only 2 months gone at the beginning of the saga but ended up moving when I was 3 weeks off giving birth)! Anyway, to cut a long and angst ridden story short, we didn't find out about this buyer's real plans until he had delayed exchange three times (each time on the day the exchange was supposed to be) and we told the EA to remarket out house.
The best bit was that we got another offer straight away from a couple who were genuine in their promise to exchange and complete as quickly as possible so the sale eventually went ahead smoothly.
If you read the house buying & selling threads on MSE, you will see endless tales of people being mucked around on the day of exchange. It is all so unnecessarily stressful - if the property developer in your chain had been honest with everyone from the start (and probably the EAs too as in my experience they are usually in cahoots with the property developers)then at least you would have known where you stand.
The received wisdom on the House Buying and Selling threads is always that things turn out for the best in the end and, in your case Tiny Shoes, I really hope that is true.
Thirdly - congratulations to SFSBShortfatscotsbloke wrote: »And so did the second!!:j:j
Mayonnaise was actually only 2 for £3 but compared at the full £3.98, meaning a profit of £1.36 on every two bought..:D
Wow! What a result! Well done SFSB. Such a shame they've updated the prices now!“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

Hope she is ok Louise. Try some fruit or bran if she will eat it. It may be a good idea to ring NHS direct on 111 to get advise xx
I've bought her some fig syrup this morning.
If she hasn't gone by tomorrow then I will be taking here up to the hospital as our GP won't see her until Tuesday0 -

I've been up since 5.
Dd2 crying in pain because she hasn't pooped for a week.
So we have the potty out, wreck it ralph on the tv and one very tired mummy !
I hope she goes soon and isn't in too much pain. Keep giving her plenty of water to drink. My youngest DS was like this, he suffered really badly and then when he did go it was small marbles. For him it turned out that he cant process milk/dairy so now he doesn't have milk products and hasn't had a problem since.
If it is an ongoing problem it may be a good idea to discuss possible causes with your GP, when you get an appointment.0 -
