Now you have confessed your age I am even more impressed with the way you have lost weight. I am younger than you and struggle to lose weight (though I have lost a stone since Christmas), but I do cycle and walk regularly.
Reminds me of someone my son's fianc!e used to nanny for. She was utterly obsessed with fitness and eating "right", to the extent that her kids (girls aged about 8 and 10 if I recall rightly) were not allowed to eat a full sandwich, or a full helping of anything. As for taking them to McD's. well, they could have half a portion of chips each. Apparently they looked malnourished! She could not convince her that kids needed more fat and energy to grow, the mother just considered them as small adults with proportionate nutritional requirements. Note she USED to nanny for them, she could not continue as she was concerned for the kids' health and could not do anything about it. I believe they now live in the USA.
Losing a stone is an achievement too. I had a bad year with dd being ill etc and I think my mind told me to get hold of something for myself. My sis had aneroxia in her early twenties and I think since her hubby had a stroke in 2002 she has to have control somewhere. We are all control freaks in our family but since DD went through therapy I have picked up on some of the tactics she uses and am beginning to let go. I did not want to be a fat 60 year old either.0 -
Next womble - from yesterday:
Vs T
6 x ASDA UHT Whole Milk (1L)£5.40£4.50:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
That helped quite a bit, even though I only got about a quid due to a lot of items comparing to a lot dearer at T:(.
Er...best buying a pack of 6x1L rather than 6 individuals:rotfl: if not fussy:wall: as to whole milk!!
Skimmed Milk (6 pack multipack) should work the same as Semi Skimmed multi vs T.0 -

And I bet her face permanently looks like this --->
It does most of the time. When we go away on catering jobs we always have a biscuit barrel on the t tray. Now biscuits are not something i struggle with as I never buy them ( except the 60 packets from Cookie glitch!!) but every morning she empties the biscuits out and eats all the broken bits. Says she is tidying them up!! She has a lovely house, a very successful business and plenty of money but I would say I am happier with no money and glitches. She even came over on Sunday to go to Waitrose at bargain time as she heard that I got 41 items for -40p last week. There was nothing to be had!!
Her hubby is disabled after a severe stroke and has no feeling in his right side but can walk and do quite a bit. He is a recovering alcoholic and I am surprised he does not go back to it. She insists they have 2 veggie only days a week and he is not allowed lots of things to eat. Really funny when he is home alone as he has takeaway every night. Now must stop !!!!!ing and get back to housework.0 -

My ds always woke up after a few hrs sleep wanting to play whilst I wanted to sleep! Like us all I can't function without it so I put a stair gate across his bedroom door & created a safe environment for him to play in while I dozed. I put him in a bed as soon as it was safe, could use mattress on floor, & left only the things he couldn't hurt himself with in his room. I left a low light on so he could see & bedroom doors open so I could hear. I possibly shouldn't have done this but it was the only way I could cope.0
