I am a little obsessed trying to get deals - one thing I do if I cannot find a discount for a deal is find another deal to offset (such as a free movie trial with cashback or a casino/bingo cashback deal).

Now I know I could do those deals anyway, and sometimes do, but I like to think that if, say, Virgin Media put my package price up £5 per month as they recently did and I am was not able to get a further discount from them to bring the price back down, getting their 6 months Netflix free trial, on top of cashback for Netflix one month free trial, plus a new Amex Gold Card application with £60 cash back has offset the increase and I am happy again :).

Obviously, some offers are not risk free (especially gambling related ones or those that may affect your credit rating), cashback is not guaranteed, always read the terms and conditions .

Twisted logic from being a member of the ELITE I know ...

I know what you mean anon:o

It's driving me mad trying to get discount for a week in the Cotswolds. The hotel is not on any hotel comparison sites, isn't a franchise, isn't on TCB and won't offer any discount at all. I'm faffing about so much the time I get my head round it, it'll be full.
I keep ringing up to check availability and hoping someone different will pick up so I can ask them for some discount:rotfl:
