It's more a money issue now FC, we just can't afford to keep 2 houses running.
British Gas have really got up my nose. Not sure if that is right saying.
I need it all done and dusted, I am wishing now maybe the solicitor was named as executor, ok would have cost more but the responsibility of everything would not have been mine. I have the worry of being liable for the council tax at some point, exempt at mo.
I think I am trying to be excited about getting things done here but to be honest, I just want the bungalow gone now not the money, it just gets harder and harder to go round to an empty house.I guess I am moving forward in my head but it's not happening physically.
That's a real shame, I know how hard it was for you to let goI could so identify with it after me hanging on to my dad's place for so (too) long.
I really do hope it gets sorted before it causes you any more worry. I got my council tax bill yesterdayI am with BG for gas and electric and I haven't had any problems, they are cheapest for me. I guess you don't get to find out until you have an issue

Have been told since last week we would be exchanging. Been chasing all week was told Monday would be Wednesday. My solicitor tried yesterday and then again today. Turns out she does not have a bloomin Fensa certificate for her windows. After me being worried I did not have the any certificates for mum's.
I have made allowance for them to indemnify so not a problem, you can see online cos I checked, there has been Fensa certificate issued for her address but I guess they need it in paper. Or wonder if her buyer (a property developer) is stalling.
Apparently she has removals booked for next week, but I can't chance emptying the property of furniture until I know for definite exchange has happened as it is part of the council tax issue for me being furnished or unfurnished.0 -

I did post earlier BG will only keep accounts open in "The Estate of" for 6 months. I read a long blog while back about someone who had awful problems with them as winding an estate up takes so much longer.
Southern Electric have been fine so far and kept the bill as the estate of and held it until beginning of April.
I paid the final bill in name of "the estate of" for gas which I think might have been my mistake now, as they now are sent to the occupier whom they are now chasing and cannot put hold on bill apparently.I think they may have waited longer for the "estate of bill" as that was charges my mum actually used. The current bill is for where I have kept heating on low, have had to turn it off now. Guess I was a bit naïve but they are all nice as pie on the phone and don't really give you the right info.

Ive been to nutritionists and dieticians over the years. I think we just manage the healthy stuff. He will eat apples that are totally red (and expensive
) bananas that are completely yellow. Dairy is covered by fromage Frais and cheese.
He was gutted too when walkers meaty packs changed. He's still very indignant that prawns aren't meat (he has a point:D) and is gutted that they stopped making steak and onion. He accepts seabrook beefy instead now
DS only likes bananas that are green and not much else. As we're a species thgat's meant to eat a plant-dominated diet, it's a struggle to get things onto his plate that aren't (a) plain meat or (b) some white starchy potato product. And mixing them isn't an option.
Anybody like Worcestershire crisps? We've got a cupboard of them. I'm hoping if they ever invent a star drive it'll need those crisps instead of those ridiculous dilithium crystals.:D
If you like swing music
how about this which isn't that but is IMHO rather good

It's really unfortunate that you need the original certificate, or a copy of it from FENSA. That's probably what's taking the time?
I do agree though, it's something you'd have to hand if you were selling?0 -
Well while making my tea and eavesdropping one if the children said ooh I've never been drunk before:eek: me bursting into the room.. There faces... Thanks DM.
I don't remember it being this hard when I bought and sold nearly 20 years ago the last time.
Her sale was meant to be ahead of mine too.
Sorry you can see it's got to me.0
