Was just reading the other day about american school traditions. Having a prom at that part of the school year sounds utterly distracting.
Somebody said the US had such a focus on job mobility that they built all schools to the same plan so that
-you could move round the country and your kids could fit in
-and it would be cheap.;)
Anyhoo

Why did I think it was a good idea to let my ds have a sleepover with 9 13 year olds..definitely no sleeping going on:cool:
You will only think it's a good idea once. :rotfl:
Been there, done it and worn the hat.
DD2 and DD3 never let me forget that D1 was allowed a big sleepover on her 13th. :eek:0 -

I've gone past tired as I start work at 3:30 am and there is no point going sleep now
Oh that's a god awful time to start work! At least you won't have to feed all those teenagers in the morning though0 -

Fantastic zag. :T
I have been out to a gig tonight. OHs best mate was doing his first ever gig with his new band. It was all in aid of charity and we were really surprised they were really good and his mate is a really good singer.
There were a few bands playing in aid of charity. A community swing band finished off and they were brilliant. I had a great time even though I was driving.
Got a bit worried when this lady dragged me up to dance. I didn't like to refuse, OH was killing himself. I managed to sit down and then she pulled me up again. It was one of those pubs where it was probably best to just do it, eventually I hid and sat behind OH. :rotfl:0 -

DD won't have one this year......I hope!
DD1 and DD2 had two from the same school Year 11 after GCSEs and Year 13 after A levels. College is all new to me so no idea what they do there. DD3's course is just for one year and then she enrols on a more specialised one. :cool:0 -

Lol .. This is why we are having a sleepover as ds2 knows that ds1 had one and apparently it was awesome so I couldn't say no to him plus its cheaper than having a party somewherethankfully ds3 and dd4 won't remember what the others did so I can't be held to ransom lol

DD1 had limo from friends house, DD2 had red bus which went from here as her and her friend organised it.
Was fantastic seeing them all we have a really nice back drop nearby where they all had there photos taking and mingled before the bus arrived. All the neighbours came out to see, it was a lovely sunny day.
DD3 also had a red bus, but unfortunately it poured with rain and the friend's house it went from was in a very narrow road, so didn't really get to see much as they set off. All the kids went in the house to wait while us parents stood outside under our umbrellas.0 -
