Children are not stupid and they do notice:o so in a few years when the out laws ask why your kids don't want to know them -you can tell them it's because they didn't bother with them:o kids remember and notice:eek:
This is sooo true...I'm now mum to a 16 year old who my inlaws wonder why he wont visit them (they moved countries 10 years ago)...and they cant accept that basically he's got on fine without them and doesnt see them as that important in his life.
They just about remember to send him a birthday card/christmas card but really dont want that much contact...until it seems it suits them.....they want him to visit at easter and he's told them outright he's too busy with revision!!!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
Don't worry I forgive you for being the OP. :rotfl:
Just phoned full refund being given and can keep the pack sent.
So hopefully free coffee albeit one pack.
I was thinking about this last night and thats what I thought they may do if they only sent 1 out, as this way its only costing them 1 packet of coffee rather than 6
All good then :cool:When The Fun Stops Stop0 -

Weds is my busy today. I have 1hr and 45 mins to
Wash up, turn burgers into meatballs, shower, make lunch for dd2, clear the shoe graveyard in the hallway, clean the toilet, Hoover the hallway and living room. Then take dd2 to nursery. Go to T's to get more cussons sets with coupons, maybe a BNI shop. Grab some lunch, pick dd1 up, go back in the other direction for dd2. Go home for 20 mins and then take dd1 to her swimming lesson and then pick OH up from the train station come home feed and shower dd1 and cook dinner for oh.
I'll be asleep by 7:30pm! Lol!

tigerwhite wrote: »I agree nerfy. It breaks my heart cos MIL (and all of his family) havent seen tigercub for half of her life. DS is such a little treasure and they've missed out on it all.. The whole argument/fall out was that my OH felt we, and more specifically the kids, were out of sight out of mind. For the best part of 15 years, we drove up and down the M1 for visits and rarely had people come to us as they wouldn't make the effort.. We put our foot down when the kids arrived.
(oops, rant alert)
My mum and his mum could not be more different - I'm very lucky as they will move mountains to be a part of their GC lives.
Nerdy is right
We used to go all the time.
They were late to come down when little miss was seriously sick in hospital as other GC had dancing and MIL had hair appointment  when other half appendix burst they didn't come as they were car shopping:eek::eek: list is endless
My kids eventually said to me they weren't going to visit relatives at home as they hated the journey and that they never came to us. If it was ok for them to only come down once a year they would repay the visit.
Oldest never went back for two years and youngest went once.
Family eh ? I have saved a fortune on petrol cause I just nip up on train ( RSH) to see aunty m and come back.
They missed out. Xxx0 -
