He will be using it for coursework and has just bought a photoshop thing to go on a laptop when he gets it. So my question is,is this any good or can he get something better for his money or pay less for as good ?! Also do we really have to pay £100 odd for office?

Many thanks to anyone that can help as I have no idea at all when it comes to computers x
I got ny DD's laptops from the argos ebay site: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Argos-Outlet/Laptops-Netbooks-/_i.html?rt=nc&_fsub=3844977016&_sid=66512606&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1513&_pgn=1
They were both refurbs but were as new and saved a fortune. They have a few 17" screen ones, so it is worth looking at them.
They have this one brand new at £599.99

OR the exact same but refurbished at £469.99

I'm not saying "go buy this one" but it looks ok, and the refurb does save a ton of cash. It does have an i5 processor and if he is doing photos etc, then the 1tb of storage last a while, and the 8gb of RAM will make it easier and faster to run complex programmes.
You should be able to get Office on the student package, which will give you the most recent version, or you can pay £7.99 per month if you dont want to shell out in one hit.

Children are not stupid and they do notice:o so in a few years when the out laws ask why your kids don't want to know them -you can tell them it's because they didn't bother with them:o kids remember and notice:eek:
I agree nerfy. It breaks my heart cos MIL (and all of his family) havent seen tigercub for half of her life. DS is such a little treasure and they've missed out on it all.. The whole argument/fall out was that my OH felt we, and more specifically the kids, were out of sight out of mind. For the best part of 15 years, we drove up and down the M1 for visits and rarely had people come to us as they wouldn't make the effort.. We put our foot down when the kids arrived.
(oops, rant alert)
My mum and his mum could not be more different - I'm very lucky as they will move mountains to be a part of their GC lives.Tiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find0 -

My c&c still saying its on its way:(
I know how you feel now bubbs:mad: I just want to know if it worked NOW:o0 -
It's an interesting read
It says your receipt will show you how many points you have earned and that you will earn 1 point per £25 spent in the month
BUt it only lets you carry over an even number of points at the end of a month so even if you have spent £75 in a month and earned 3p off you can only take 2p off through to the next month
Why not just say "earn 2p per £50"?
Also
I'm sure I've seen people say they fill their tanks and top up containers too but apparently it's a no-no
ETA: I also checked to see if buying T moneycards counted towards your qualifying spend in a month ....but they don't
I just clicked through to my cc account to see what I have got up to now and it seems you can't carry any points over, unless I am reading it wrong.
