Refused a refund

Hi Guys im very new to this so please bear with me lol.
I purchased a wig online at ewig.co.uk, I paid for it by debit card but when it arrived I wasn't happy with it, it didn't look like what it did on the net and it was too tight. When I emailed them for a refund they told me I needed a better excuse than " it was too tight" and told me I cannot have a refund as it had been custom made for me but I didn't even put in a size that I wanted, they just sent me a size average. I don't believe it was custom made as it only cost £46 with delivery and they are a lot dearer than that. Can anybody tell me where I stand please.

Many Thanks

Patti

How long ago did it arrive
  • They website under exchanges says they don't exchange if there is an issue with size or colour but do if the wig is faulty. However if they are based in the uk the transaction should be subject to the distance selling regs so you should have right to cancel up to 7 days after receiving your goods however I believe you would have to pay postage costs.

Then you need to inform them, in writing I believe, that you wish to cancel under the Distace Selling Regulations. They should have informed you of your right to cancel and how to do so.

In the first instance e mail and inform them you are exercising your right to cancel the order under the distance selling Regulations.

erm, sorry, other posters are more knowledgable about the DSRs than me; but in the meantime DO cancel as I have outlined.

Hopefully one will be along soon x

    wow

just googled them and looked at their T&Cs for returns.

I very much doubt, given the grammar and spelling the website is UK based at all....

How did you pay exactly and how much?

Did you not sign up to any terms and conditions when you subscribed? Nothing with company contact details on it?

I just saw something that suggested it is based in China

OP, was the website address http://www.ewigstyle.co.uk?

If so, they are China based.

    That website is registered to:
    qiang feng
    Shanghai ChangDeLu body no. 257
    shanghai
    shanghai
    200000
    China

I know nothing about addresses in China, but that address looks fake as well.

In China, not a chance and you can't even do a change back as the price is too low.

Chalk it down to experence you have learnt - don't by from a non eu country
Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring
