Extraordinary Circumstances?????? Can I still claim?

Options
Our family, 2 parents and 3 teenagers - 18, 16 & 15 flew to St Lucia in 2008. We were delayed 24 hours by Virgin Atlantic. It was a late December flight and the reason we are being given are that: 'there was an accident on the ground involving the company's high lift. One of the aircraft doors was damaged and so a full investigation was required along with lengthy repairs before the aircraft could safely depart. As such we ha little choice but to delay your flight over night' Can I still claim??

Yes you can but you need to be quick about it plus you should have posted on the Virgin thread after reading the FAQ's on page one.

Flights over 6 years are impossible to claim for.

Does that only hold true when a travel agent acts as a 'middleman' - we booked direct

Nothing to do with travel agents, Google is your friend as well.

Please post in the Virgin thread.
