O2 Retention Phones
That time of year again, when my ebay account comes calling :j
I'm a bit out of touch with modern mobiles. What mobiles are currently good to keep? And what mobiles are going for decent prices on ebay? I noticed the N95 seems a good bet.
What phones have people been getting out of O2 Retentions of late? And in relation how much do you spend per month?
Thanks.

A bargain is only a bargain if you would have brought it anyway!

I got an upgrade a month or so ago. The N95 would be as good a bet as any - probably the most talked about phone at the moment and highly sought after. Maybe might make upto £300 on Ebay. Obviously a sound bet.
Although I don't think 02 (or anyone else) are too keen on handing it out free unless you are on quite a high tariff or spend quite a bit.
I took a look at the slightly more easy to get upgrades and decided on the Sony K810i. It sold for £190 within a day on Ebay so couldn't complain. It would make a decent choice.
There were alternatives. Nokia 6300 isn't as valuable so don't go for it if you are looking to sell. Samsung U600 isn't much different in price to K810i I don't think. I think there may be one of the Nokia N seies (N74 maybe?) that is worth similar sorts of prices.
Any of those would be reasonable bets but maybe best to check the current market on Ebay as it can change if a retailer discounts a particular model.
So to answer I was offered the 6300 but asked for K810i instead. I think I could have had u600 also. I didn't ask about N95 but don't think I would have got it.
I spend around £30 a month (was on a casback deal last year). Also only wanted 12 month contract. Longer contract might get you a better phone.
Hope that this helps but I'm sure there are mobile junkies out there who know more than me!0
