Upgrading OSPS and not missing month 12 cashback

I took out a cashback deal with OSPS last July. So far everything has worked smoothly and I have received my cashback cheques as expected. I have one last cheque to claim at month 12.

I want to change to a new deal quickly, but I don't want to do anything that will risk losing the cashback at month 12.

I am with O2.

Should I get an upgrade direct with O2 or with OSPS (Carphone warehouse)?

Any suggestions?

Switch AFTER the 12 months, check the deals on OSPS that allow you to port and get the Quidco cashback.

If you want to go to a new deal from the same mobile company just move your number to a PAYG from another company and switch back.

There are messages on this board about this.

With number ports you have a fixed time to port.
