Hi I took my car in for its sixth year service and MOT. Although six years old it has only done 30,000 miles. The other issue, oil aside is what sort of driving you do.

If the car is only ever driven to the shops and back it has done 30,000 miles when it is cold, the oil hasn't properly got round the engine and at the point where most engine wear is likely to take place. This is why high miles with service history can be better than no miles.
