O2 in the US. Replace sim?
I'm in San Francisco for a week next week. I'd like to ensure I don't run up a bill.
I use an O2 sim with my iPhone. I bought the iPhone direct from Apple.
I can do a data bolt on which gives me more bandwidth but there don't seem to be any others that are useful. The O2 chat person recommended I buy an US sim and use that, but presumably that means I won't keep my UK number.
Any tips appreciated.

Thank you, but I'll need to do a lot of calls. Does what the O2 person suggest make sense, i.e. switch to a US sim?0

A local sim is generally better than roaming.
There are exceptions like Three's Feel At Home, but you asked too late.
Another good option is toggle mobile, but again I think you don't have time for getting a sim.0 -
Can I keep the same mobile number with a local number? I'd have thought not.0

No you can't.No free lunch, and no free laptop
