Westcot Collection agency for a debt I owe, they called the telephone at my previous address, which I no longer live at, and havn't for many years.
Which the new owners received and picked up. (as they contact me, if any of my mail goes there)
Is there a chance that westcot will send letters to that old address too ?
As don't want these people opening my private mail.
And how can i make sure westcot doesn't correspond that that old address, so they send No letters there, and doesn't call there,
what is the legal way to stop them contacting that old address?
otherwise, previously westcot have written to my current address, where they letters have been received.
(But due to some serious family personal stuff has happened recently,
so didn't take much action, as I have had some other stuff to deal with aswell)

Since they have contacted you where you are and they had no response it's hardly surprising they are backtracking in an attempt to contact you. Perhaps it's the only phone number they have on record?
Perhaps the best thing would be to contact them ASAP
Failing that the people at your old address could contact them and tell them you are no longer living there or return all mail to sender.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Write to them and inform them of your current address. Easy.0 -

Why would they the new owners open any private mail addressed to you ?
To stop any mail being sent there you need to tell Westcott of the change of address, simples really.0 -

Or set up a redirection via Royal Mail. It is then redirected "at source".0

Exactly! Stop evading responsibility and pay the debt. They will hardly give up pursuing you just because you don't want them to.ThumbRemote wrote: »Pay the debt?0
