Moto G feedback
Anyone care to share their thoughts on the battery life?
"It lasts all day with 5-6 hours screen time" - that sort of thing.
And whether it's pre- or post-KitKat update?
Did it improve/deteriorate after the update?
Any meaningful feedback would be good as all I keep reading is "I love it" or "It's much better than my old phone"!!
Thanks

My thoughts are that the battery lasts me ages. Anything from one to three days. I may not be a typical user though.
It's run KitKat since ten minutes after I first turned it on so I can't comment on the difference with the previous OS.
BTW I love it. It's much better than my old phone. The screen definition is superb.

It's the best smartphone we've had in the house for battery life. My wife is a fairly light user and charges it every night, but I don't think it has ever been below 80% at the end of the day. On kitkat, which didn't appear to make much difference to the battery.0

I recommended it to a friend and she says it's the best phone she's ever had. I love my Nexus 5 but, considering the price difference, I don't think it's anywhere near three times as good.0

Best value smartphone ever. Brings the 'real' smartphone experience within the price range of the masses. Now you only really only need to spend more on a smartphone if you view them as a status symbol, basically.
Battery life is unbelievable for a phone powering a top quality 4.5 inch screen. Mine has been on KK since the day it was first offered on my phone and running better than ever (smoother, battery life even longer etc). It just makes other mid/top end phone look ridiculously expensive (and as for the iphones lol).0 -
If u have good 3 coverage for 4g then buy from buymobiles as they offering 500 mins unlimited internet for 30ish with free note 3 ..But only if u got good 4g 3 coverage..In many forums its discussed that its a myth that 4g consumes more data compared to 3g.. But it depends how u use internet..
Today i did a 10 minutes video skype and it consumed 90 mb on 4g and same i did with 3g it consumed 40 mb.The reason is that skype adjust video quality depending on connection speed..0 -

What has all this go to do with the Moto G? This phone isn't a 4G phone.0 -
Thanks for the replies but I was wondering what sort of battery life you are getting based on usage rather than "it's great" or "unbelievable" as that could mean anything!
Is a whole day "unbelievable"? 2 days? 3 days?
I was thinking more along these lines ...

Is that what others are getting or is that 'unbelievable'?0 -
I reckon if you charge any smart phone once a day overnight then you can't grumble. Is there such a thing as over-charging?0

Great phone, superb battery life, been using this phone since two weeks running the latest android version, yet to find any fault with it. I don't use it for games so can't comment on that.
I do use it for testing Android apps that I develop at work, works like a charm, don't see a reason to root the phone.
Simply love the phone as it does the job of being a phone without any flaws and also is smart in being able to use all the necessary apps without the phone having to freeze or restart.
I have not faced any of the issues that some have had with the upgrades, works like a charm.0 -
Last November, Motorola released its Moto G smartphone, the cost-effective version of Moto X, however don’t make mistake in comparing the benchmark Moto G with that of Moto X, as Moto G is one of the firmest performing Smartphone in mid-range in the market. It would not be wrong to say that Moto G is ‘The close to perfect device’ in 2014. Manufactures looking to ship a handset in the $200 price range, might really get attracted with Moto G.
In one of the recent press releases, Motorola announced to launch the smartphone in developing markets followed by Latin America, North America and the central Europe. Additionally, officials also mentioned that the device will be cost-effective along with many merits for prepaid plans. I recently ordered Moto G at prepaymania.co.uk
Motorola which hits the market with a budget price-tag, Google is soon in plans to launch other budget smartphones that would outperform leading Nokia’s Lumia 520 and others. However, currently Moto G undercuts Google’s Nexus 5 and the discounted Nexus 4.0
