Does anyone know if it's possible to change plans if i have 5 months remaining on my contract?

I've been with orange since 1998, i took out a new cotract 19 months ago that included a £5 loyalty discount, after 12 months they took the discount off and was lumbered with £21 pm bill for 200mins, unl txt and 500mg data with samsung galaxy ace 2...seems a lot to me

I didn;t know the loyalty reward had been taken off until a couple of months back so i rang them, i was told i should have rang straight away and they could have reinstated the discount, but now it;s been to long.

has anyone had any kind of upgrade with this amount if time left on contract?

You can usually upgrade early but you'll be charged a fee. This I believe might be cheaper if you move to EE.

I have done this before, its considered their early upgrade option, if you stay with orange or move to EE they then discount it, when i did it they discounted the early settlement charge by 35% (stayed with orange though, did it as needed new phone and the buy out cost with the discount they offered then was cheaper than paying the excess on my insurance and got me a newer phone any way)

the info can be found on oranges website, looks like discount is 15% if you remain on an orange contract and 33% if you move to EE.
