thanks, yes they did offer to pay and asked how much it was - I txtd them and said it cost me £50 but happy for them to have it at £20. So pretty big discount - its my compromise position!DEBT: £500 credit card £800 Bank overdraft

(might be worth pointing out to your OH that the outlaws probably don't want to be treated as a charity case and have offered to buy it to maintain their dignity - or summat similar)..................

this is my own sib not an inlaw but yes I do feel as if OH and his family tend to take over a bit. I'm not brilliant at standing up to OH or family, problem is if I do try OH gets very nasty (verbally) and cold.
