Can I ask a silly question?

when you choose your 5 date bands do they have to be different? Or can you put down the same letter for each space?

    Read the T&Cs:

Applications will not be processed if they do not (i) set out your 5 Date Band choices

    THANK YOU!

Do you know how hard it is to find this? It's not advertised anywhere on the Sun's website, google/bing were useless... :-/

I have been taking advantage if this offer for the last 4 or 5 years. It always amazes me that people moan about not being able to choose the dates they want. The Sun and Alton Towers are running a promotion. The Sun want you to buy the newspaper for a few days, to make some money on sales, and gain new readers. Alton Towers want you to visit and spend some money whilst you are there, and you get to go there for a fraction of what it would normally cost. It would be great if you could chose exactly which day you can go, but you can specify a date range, and so far I have always got the date range I requested. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I think its a great offer. I usually collect two sets and have them sent to a different address, and have often got 4 of the same date, so myself, my husband, daughter and friend got to go for next to nothing last year.I personally shall be collecting again this year, and look forward to a great day out again - but no Smiler for me, no way am I brave enough for that!

The way that Merlin allocates the free tickets happens for everyone on the same days (prob for ease of accounting purposes). When you go, so will everyone else who selected that date band. Which is why it is actually pretty busy on these free days and also why you can't choose a specific day of that week!

I posted my form off yesterday - cannot wait to see when I need to book off work :j

Last year we were allocated a Saturday which was a bonus.

So you get told what date to go on? That's no good for parents (mainly dads) who only get to see their kids every other weekend.
Poor show THE SUN and ALTON TOWERS!

I am sure there would be an exception with the other parent and the kids could go?

I don't have any of the paperwork having sent it all off already - can anyone let me know when we will expect to hear back about what date we have? Thank you.
