FROM Saturday 15th March The Sun will be printing tokens for two tickets to Alton Towers. It will be the usual collect 9ish tokens as it always is. Will update when the page gets updated. The link goes to last years which will be updated soon. There is a big advert in today's paper, so this is definitely on next Saturday.

From Sat 15 Mar, collect nine out of 17 differently-numbered tokens printed in The Sun every day until Mon 31 Mar (40p weekdays, 60p Sat, 70p Sun) to get two 'free' tickets to Alton Towers.
You must buy the paper on Wed 19 Mar, as the application form is ONLY printed that day. Once you have this, the latest you can start collecting the remaining eight tokens is Mon 24 Mar.
Once your application form is complete, send it in with your tokens and a first class stamped-addressed envelope (15cm x 8cm) by Sun 6 Apr to the address given on the form.
The Sun has 195,000 pairs to give away, but it's first come, first served, so have your form ready to go as soon as you get the ninth token.
You must be flexible on when you can go as you’ll be given a fixed date to visit the attraction – more info on this below.
If you're a paid-up Sun+ website user, you'll get an email to claim your tickets without having to collect tokens. It's not available if you're on its one-month trial - you must be paying £2/week.
Fiddly, yet cheapest way of getting tickets if you’re flexible on dates
This is the cheapest way of getting two tickets to Alton Towers. But as you can see, if you're not a Sun+ member, there are a few stages to follow. You need to follow every single instruction word-for-word for your application to be accepted.

You pick 5 dates bands and then you are allocated a single day to go.Bootsalebargains wrote: »If its like usual they give you a set date to go
Yes it will be the usual set up.0 -
So you get told what date to go on? That's no good for parents (mainly dads) who only get to see their kids every other weekend.
Poor show THE SUN and ALTON TOWERS!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
I have been taking advantage if this offer for the last 4 or 5 years. It always amazes me that people moan about not being able to choose the dates they want. The Sun and Alton Towers are running a promotion. The Sun want you to buy the newspaper for a few days, to make some money on sales, and gain new readers. Alton Towers want you to visit and spend some money whilst you are there, and you get to go there for a fraction of what it would normally cost. It would be great if you could chose exactly which day you can go, but you can specify a date range, and so far I have always got the date range I requested. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I think its a great offer. I usually collect two sets and have them sent to a different address, and have often got 4 of the same date, so myself, my husband, daughter and friend got to go for next to nothing last year.I personally shall be collecting again this year, and look forward to a great day out again - but no Smiler for me, no way am I brave enough for that!0

Can anyone remember around what time of year did the Sun start to do their free tickets to Alton Towers offer? There will always be:
A “LIE” in BELIEVE, an “OVER” in LOVER, an “END” in FRIEND, an “US” in TRUST , and an “IF” in LIFE0 -
There is a thread recently started in relation to this on the Grabbit thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/49161210

Can I ask a silly question?
when you choose your 5 date bands do they have to be different? Or can you put down the same letter for each space?0
