hello all,
I have friend who is interested n accessing the internet from his home using his laptop.
My friend has no landline, and prefers the Dongle option.
Ideally he is looking to pay by cash or card each month if possible, otherwise he would consider a Direct Debit contract.
He is looking for 2GB+
any suggestions moneysavers???????

The first thing to check is which networks can provide a decent 3G signal at the property. The 'cheapest' won't be much use if the reception is no good.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

The cheapest way would be to use a mobile phone and "piggy back" a connection from that (tethering)
Some phones allow you to set up a portable hot spot using this utility..
Some (most) phone companies are wise to this and (in theory) don't allow it - charging extra if they detect that you are doing this - but some (which I don't know) - do allow it
You will need an unlimited data service to benefit from this but it is possibly worth looking into ..0 -
Getting a landline would be far better value for money

Not everyone can get a landline
They may have credit issues (hence the method of payment requested)
Or they may be a student - living in temp accomodation0
