Which first time buyers home+gas/electy insurance?

Hi am in the process of taking out contents and building insurance and will also need full gas/electricity care also.
I was looking at saga insurance since they do both, quotes are around £630 seems comparable to Swinton and Corgi plans also.
We do sometimes have issues with dripping taps and the occasional toilet not flushing issues but rare at best. Was looking for a company that does not increase the price if you call them out, not sure if that exist but read somewhere saga do not increase the price the following year even if you use there services many times...
Any decent recommendations however or general advise ?

I would think most of the home insurance add-ons are emergency cover and a dripping tap wouldn't be an emergency.0

Most home insurers offer "Home Emergency" as an optional additional product.
Some will be limited on the cover - ie a dripping tap would not usually be classed as an "emergency" so would not be covered.
You can find policies the may cover these types of things - maybe Homeserve or British Gas??
If you take a policy with your home insurance then you will get the price of the policy for anyone - ie they don't increase it if you make a claim as it is a stand alone policy. So if you pay eg £60 this year and make a couple of claims the you should not pay any more next year unless the insurer has increased their general premium for the policy. So if it goes up to £65 then everyone will be paying £65 regardless if they have claimed or not.
It may be different with specialist companies - BG, Homeserve, etc. It might be that they have a ncd.0 -
Am just popping back on here to let you know I got a call from corgi, they charge £50 call outs for dripping taps even...
And I noticed also they do not mention about contracts only that they do 2 year fixed price, if you leave and resign up you incur a £30 fee.
I am not impressed with that since none of the call out charges/contract info is listed on there site, other then no hidden fees etc
Will look at other companies that are more honest and perhaps list the call out charges etc
Please be careful with even Swinton I hear they make false accusations that you claimed in year 1 hence in year 2 your premium shoots up.
Seems everyone is attempting to steal your money with dishonesty lately, so watch out and ask the right questions if you are not sure.0
