Do Barclaycard Close your INACTIVE card (After NOt using it for Over 1-2 years)?

If you have a barclaycard, which is in good standing, and there is no balance, but do not use it for 1, 2 or more years, then do they automatically close it?

I am asking for barclaycard specifically (no other credit card)

-How many years of 'non usage' do they close it?

-and do they send a letter out to you with this decision? asking if you want to keep it open ?

Has this happened to you with your barclaycard, if you haven't used it for time ? What was your experience ?

No, not usually after just 12 months - at least they didn't with me. I never used mine for over 2 years.

Then it was due for renewal and I got a 'use it or lose it' letter
Basically they said they would not be sending me a new card unless I started re-using the card in the meantime.

Presumably the card was reaching the expiry date that is printed on the front.
