Transferring Shares to Spouse

Would appreciate some advice please!
I'll be getting a promotion soon which will move me to the next tax bracket.
I have some shares held at TD Direct (non ISA account). I know it is possible to transfer my shares to my spouse (once they opened a trade account) but my question is:
- Could it be any provider (ie not TD Direct)
- Could it be an ISA trade account? Or would it have to be a non-isa account?
Thanks.

The account your spouse opens to accept the shares does not have to be with TD Direct, it can be with another provider.
2nd Q I ain't too sure about - I think it would have to be a non-Isa account but if your spouse has not used their S&S allowance then maybe they can be transfered to a Isa account?
If I was you I would check with the provider you are thinking of going with for the right type of account for your spouse re your 2nd Q.
No point in your spouse opening a non-Isa account if you are allowed to transfer the shares to the S&S Isa account.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
I think you will have to transfer and then bed and ISA to get them into your wife's ISA. If you're quick you can access two years CGT if you need to.0
