Just had a buzzing noise in my head and would like to ask something here.

The reason I am asking is that I am no PPI expert, but lets use the OP as an example, if they have been paying PPI on the finance for 3 years could they not approach the fiance company and tell them they are going to make a claim against the dodgey PPI they sold.
Or come to some arrangements to knock some money off the finance deal.
Or is PPI done under a separate entity?

    Just a thought

Where's the indication op was missold PPI?
Or you suggesting op jump on the band wagon of millions who wasn't 'missold' it but going to make a dodgy claim anyway.
Somebody who is self employed or over a certain age and wouldn't even be able to make a claim was missold. Somebody who agreed to it and didn't bother reading the paperwork was not missold!!!
  • Where's the indication op was missold PPI?

It didnt this is the reason why I used the word "example"....haha and then you say people fail to read things,,,,you included by the looks of it

And sorry to say if I knew there was a way to reduce my 6 year finance deal where I am paying almost double for a car then Yes I would make a claim.
  • I think its about timing - you come on here after you take a crap deal and people jump in and tell you how crap you are..... you come in BEFORE you take the deal , outline the odds, half the people begin typing "I'd never let myself get into....." kneejerk speech, then realise the dotted line isn't signed and p*** off to another thread to find someone that has signed... maybe OP in realising this has now p***ed off to another thread to talk about how best to make sunday dinners or something !

It is a bit hard to believe that anyone can agree to a deal that says XX payments of £XXX.XX and it has taken a year or two to figure how much that is in total.

Could blame comprehensive schools I suppose.

I would say that the O/P used a car company / lender for people with poor credit history.

I think that this is spot on.

In an earlier post the OP admits to being made bankrupt and although this was back in 2008, I'm sure that it would make quite a difference as to which lenders would provide finance and how much they would charge for this.

    *sigh*

It turns out the O/P is a former bankrupt and therefore had to take out high rate finance on a car.

Noone really to blame there but themselves.
