I've just ordered a KDL40X2000 and I'm really looking forward to letting you know what it's like.

  • I've had a Bravia KDL-40W2000 since March 2007. I went for the W series because of the 1080 output.

The picture quality has been great (10/10) until recently, but there are now noticeable areas of white clouding visible on black areas of the picture.

The Sony Centre I purchased the TV from says they haven't heard of any known issues with the TV but are happy to have a look at it (but we'll be without a TV for 5 or 7 days).

I have however found this on the Sony website. http://support.sony-europe.com/hotnews/tv/lcdwx/lcdwx.asp?l=en It's worth a read, but I don't feel it's a solution to the problem (basically you change several setting to reduce the brightness)

    Hope this helps.

I got the Sony Bravia KDLS40A12U, and absolutly no complaints, picture quality is stunning, as are the connections it features.

I could go on at great length about how good the TV is, but you've got to see it, to believe it - the only problem --- too many settings to personalise the set with, its a tinkerers dream.

p.s. Bigrich, don't let the Sony Centre fob you off. It is a known fault and your TV isn't 100%, time to ask for a replacement under warranty (unless you're happy enough with it, of course)
