Refurb: phones good idea?

Apple refurbs are fine, as new. 02 should be the same, backed up by a healthy warranty period. Check this first.
For those tempted by Ebay:-
Manufacturer refurbs = good.
Seller refurbs = complete con, avoid.0 -
You may have an issue with the manufacturer if they ask for proof of purchase and notice that you didn't buy new.
They will have a rough age from the serial number / IMEI but will normally ask for proof when close to warranty expiry period.Hi all,
