I'm new to this forum and am hoping that somebody can help me? I am in the process of complaining to the FOS as I was mis-sold insurance by the RBoS on a business overdraft that I had from 2003 to 2010. I am filling in the FOS complaint form and wonder what's best to say for the reason that I feel it was mis-sold? (the truth is that it wasnt explained property to me but I'm not sure how to word that) Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ever so much

The only way is up from LBM onwards :j

I think you're going to need something better than that. There was no requirement for them to explain anything to you. Presumably they provided the terms and conditions document for the policy?
Is there a particular exclusion from the policy which would have impacted you strongly? As if ther was you're best focusing on that.0 -
Presumably your claims has been rejected. What are the reasons they gave you.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks for replying as I do feel a little in the wilderness.......the script with the bank is that they have rejected my claim because they can find no record of a PPI being sold despite taking £11.90 per month for 80 months. I had understood it to be a protection on my business overdraft but don't have any paperwork. Very frustrating as they say there was no policy so why was the money deducted monthly by DD....any help is greatly appreciatedThe only way is up from LBM onwards :j0

It wasn't for account fees because when I became self employed in 2003 my business bank manager told me I would need a policy against future overdrafts in case I was sick and couldn't work. I can't remember getting any paperwork as it was in 2003. The reference on the first DD said RBS BUS ODRAFT LCD 956 09**** INITIAL PAYMENT then the next 79 of them just had the reference RBS BUS ODRAFT LGD 95609***. Gobbledygook to me???? Any suggestions as to what that would mean? Thank you kindlyThe only way is up from LBM onwards :j0

I have asked the bank to further investigate their records as I am 100% positive that at the time I was sold that it was an insurance. I'm still waiting for their final response but just wanted to fill in the complaints form in readiness for their response. If I dont know what it was for and they dont know what it was for then I am going to put the onus on them for clarification. Many thanks for your help meanwhile though, I very much appreciate it.The only way is up from LBM onwards :j0

Are you really saying that you have supplied the Bank with the documents you have (copies of course) and they are still saying they have no record of PPI on your account? Why don't you ask them directly to identify what your payment pertained to?0
