USA is 15th in the list of murders by gun - statistically by population Switzerland is a more dangerous country

My dad went over to America on holiday once and said he didn't feel safe walking the streets - he was either scared of being shot or knocked over by kids on roller blades whizzing past! Lots of gun shot wounds and no NHS! How do they all cope!?

When the RC ends I guess they will then have a fast draw to see who wins the weapon.

I must say that I was more afraid of being stabbed in Mansfield than being shot walking the streets of NYC. Then again, I am from America...

Did you hear about lots of gun deaths while over there? We probably only hear about the big stories on the news! Do you prefer living her or America?

When I first moved to Mansfield, I heard way more stories of people being stabbed to death and beaten to death than being shot to death in America. To be honest, I don't think the media portrays the 'real' America over here so I suppose it's pretty easy for people to have the opinions they have.
I also have trouble believing much of anything that comes from the media, especially from America. They can be manipulated so easily by the government. I always think of the movie Wag the Dog when I think of media reports.
I can't say whether I have a preference as I've lived here for nearly seven years and haven't lived in America for that same amount of time. I may be an American citizen, but I can't really call myself an American anymore, I don't think. I hear stories on the news over here then speak to my parents and get a completely different story. Such as Obama being popular ... apparently he is not very popular at all. Then again, that's only the news I'm getting from the Southeastern States...

The Walther P22 is a good gun and great for beginners, I've shot about 50 bullets on a range with one and it was great fun. Next time you are in Florida on holiday go to a gun range with your passport and for about $40 you can hire a gun with 100 bullets and after about 10 mins of tuition and being told the rules you are good to go. It's very exciting and great fun, once you have tried it you will understand guns and American culture a little better.
