I know it sounds like illegal activities are going off, but they are not, if you as a consumer agree and sign to a price/mthly figure for a product or service you havent really got a leg to stand on if you try and complain about the price you have agreed/signed and paid.

There is nothing in the small print to say how much you will be charged nor how much the garage can charge.

On the side of the Franchised dealer though, you have to imagine the amount of people that take out the plans and cancel, pay twice into the plan get the service done then cancel the DD, this all costs money across different departments of the dealer

These things are popular because they are attractive to the customer, there is nothing worse than taking your car in for a service to be clobbered by a £300-£1000 bill, most people with cars have experienced that sinking feeling when the garage ring up to say "it needs this, this this and this", It hurts most people no matter where you are on the social scale.

A small monthly attractive fee takes that pain away, no more large service bills hence why the service scam/plan was born

Thanks everyone,I rung em' and cancelled,they were good as gold, as its well within the 28 days.
I can see both sides on this,but for me and my own pesonal circumstances it just didnt make sense.
