Timeshare Sop Ltd?

Options
I'm posting this here as it may get missed on my other thread...

It seems that someone at this organisation can help me get out of my timeshare through a solicitor.

I apparently pay NO MONEY until I have confirmation that I am out and the fees are not totally unreasonable provided I actually can get out of this.

Has anyone heard of such a thing before?

If it is a scam then how does it work if I have no money to pay until I am out?

If it is the Timeshare Shop Ltd in Manchester I would be very wary, it was due to be struck off the Companies Register last year, presumably for failing to file accounts, exactly how did you come to hear of them? If they approached you, avoid like the plague.

    Thanks for replying.

I found out about them from a different website - called Timesharetalk.co.uk It seems they managed to sell a timeshare for one of the posters so I thought it worth a call. I got passed to a guy who apparently knows the Costa del Sol well. He said it would be difficult to sell but he knows a solicitor who can get you out of the contract. There would be the transfer fee from the timeshare company and the solicitor's fee, which didn't sound unreasonable. He said that I won't have to pay a penny until I have the all clear from the timeshare company.

I am going to check though about timing of the payment of the transfer fee. I am wary of signing over the certificate to them but again if I am not paying anything I am wondering where the problem might lie.

The usual problem is they don't complete the transfer and you remain liable for the maintenance charges when you think the problem is gone.

Thanks Alan. That was my thought too but if I don't pay any money until I am satisfied the deal has gone through then it looks as though I am protected doesn't it? I have also checked and I don't even have to pay the transfer fee until afterwards either.

So, if it does go wrong and they don't complete the transfer then it seems I haven't lost anything.

I'm still worried that I am missing something...
