Ryanair Yes or No

Nervous about booking with Ryanair, price difference with Thomas Cook is £100.00 cheaper, is it worth paying the extra and flying with Thomas Cook?

No. Go with Ryanair but make sure you fully understand the T&C's so you don't get stung with extra charges. For instance the printing of boarding passes, luggage rules (no pooling) and charges, check-in times etc. Ryanair are very efficient but they also like finding all sorts of ways to charge you extra.
  • They are fine. Just double check the times and dates before you confirm the sale as it can be expensive to rectify any mistakes.

Ryanair over Thomas Cook any day. As long as you read everything thoroughly and book exactly what you want they will be fine.

I always prefer to go with Ryanair wherever possible.

The people who tend to complain are those who haven't bothered to read the fees - which are listed clearly on their site.

I use them all the time. You get what you pay for. As above, be careful when booking. Make sure you tick " no insurance" etc. Can't beat them for price. Fine for short haul especially with no check in bags.

I also prefer Ryanair, at least they are almost always on time!

Thanks for the confidence boost :T

However, although not planning to travel until September, it'll take me that long to read through Ryanair's T&C

Prices initally looked good, however, we're taking 2 x 20kg cases which has increased the price somewhat :(

Yes but they won't get cheaper the longer you wait. Normally pays to book early. I've got flights booked for June and October already.
You'll find you can travel with less once you start paying per bag.

Ryanair are absolutely fine and all you have to remember is to print your own boarding cards and don't check luggage.

People often complain about them being money grabbers (extra charges etc) but what they're doing is trying to change people's behaviour to cut habits that cost time and money.

You will not have a problem with them.
