Switching SP

Any time in the past when I've switched SPs, it's always been well after my contract expired. But I'm now considering switching again, away from Vodafone, and just a bit concerned about the 30 days notice thing. Do I have to give notice even once I'm out of contract, or can I just ask for a PAC code and move?
David.

Requesting the PAC counts as giving your 30 days notice. You need to use the PAC within the 30 days though (and take into account the actual transfer of the number may take 2 working days).

If you do request the PAC make sure you actually use it. If you dont then things just carry on. There are so many posts on this forum where people request the PAC, dont use it and then wonder why they are still getting billed.
