Flight moved 5 hours earlier.

Options
Have a wedding in Germany over the May day bank holiday weekend. We both work in a school and so could not fly with everybody else so had to book evening flights to Prague with Ryanair and drive from there. Have just had an email stating the time of our flight has been changed to 14:45. 5 hours earlier, so we are unable to fly. We have had to book via another airline costing £70 more for the flights.

Is there anything we can do compensation wise?

    If you take the refund, no. Compensation only payable for changes with 14 days of departure. You could have asked to be rerouted, including on a different carrier, to stick to the same times. But airlines tend not to offer this (though arguably the regulation says they should).

    No. They have given you more than 2 weeks notice of the change so no compo due.

    But at least you're now not flying with Ryan Air!
  • I don't really feel that there is any chance for you getting any kind of compensation because they have informed you and now they will give hundreds of excuses and reasons that will not allow you to get even a penny from them that how airline companies work these days.
