PPI's

Sorry if this has been answered before, but although i held and used a credit card for over 25 years, always paying off my monthly statements fully and have never had the need for a loan, however, this site seems to say even just having a credit card I might have been paying some kind of PPI all these years, is that correct as it is something I have never looked into, and I am not so computer literate in order to properly investigate these things....
I've had unsolicited phone calls, text messages on and off for several months but have never thought that I need to check for PPI.
Any advise to clarify this for me?

You need to establish whether you had it, either by checking your paperwork or writing to previous lenders.
The longer ago it was, the less likely that anyone still has records. However, if you were in the habit of looking at your statements, you would have seen whether you had PPI or not.0 -

With the vast majority of credit cards, you only PPI on the amounts you borrow (not repay within the grace period).but have never thought that I need to check for PPI.
You have had statements for 25 years (over 300 statements). Wouldn't you have spotted an entry for payment protection?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
