Pones4u misseling contracts
Hi,
i took out a contract with thses instore for my son with vodafone....serveral times i said it needs to be a network that i can cap with him being a child. i was told to justcall vodafone from the phone and they would cap it once the contact was active.
Suprise surprise, they dont cap!
Have complained but no success, they are taking the salemens word over mine that he never said this.
HELP....We havent paid the contract because as we knew would happen we had a large bill in month 1....Did email vodafone but not had anything back.
Any advice....have been through head office and emailed complaints.

Pay it or you'll end up in a much worse mess. A default on your external credit file will generate potentially severe problems for at least the next 6 years.
Unless you can prove what was offered you may have to wear it. Get your son a PAYG sim for the phone and use the contract sim yourself. That way he can't spend more than the credit he has. Common problem on here.0 -

In other news, bears were seeing heading into the woods clutching Double Velvet....
With the reputation p4U have, if it was an important requirement why didn't you get it in writing? In a clash of "who said what" how can their head office be expected to go against their salesman?
You have no option now but to pay the bills and perhaps use the sim yourself, let your child use the phone with a PAYG sim (Voda contract phones are almost all unlocked), you could even get something value for money like giffgaff for them to use.====0 -
Business as usual for P4U then. Sadly nobody is going to be able to help with your problem this time. You can pay vodafone or not. If you dont then you wont be getting any credit for at least 6 years and you will be hounded by debt collection agencies. The best option is to sell any phone you may have had and put the cash towards paying the cancellation charge on the vodafone contract. If its sim only then you can either just pay the contract for the next 12 months or cancel (wont be too much ETC on sim only). You weren't stupid enough to sign a 24 month on sim only were you?
Then you can look around again. This time do it properly. ALL these companies lie. Either record all conversations or get it in writing. I now record ALL my phone conversations and actually read the contracts in store before signing them. This has saved me money on more than just a few occasions (including when orange tried to get me to sign a 24 month contract in store when i specifically requested 12 months).
